REVIEW
His productions of Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and La Bayadere are models of dramatic clarity and good classical choreography and his new Romeo and Juliet shares these qualities, and even rarer quality of urgent pace. Edur is the master of skilful choices when reducing a well-known classic to its vital ingredients, ruthlessly jettisoning any elements that are not vital to the exposion of the drama. Thus as a choreographer, he has the special attribute of courageous integrity. This production contains so many intelligent observation and fresh thinking that one longs to see it again as soon as possible.
